An excursion with a heady bouquet and sumptuous satisfaction, this half-day tour will take you to from your hotel to vineyards to explore a viticultural heritage that started in the earliest days of Spanish settlement in South America.
You will learn how hundreds of years ago, the desert plain was transformed into an oasis by the Huarpes Indians, who devised a complex and sophisticated system of irrigation channels to bring water from the Mendoza River.
Now supplemented by computerized drip irrigation, Mendoza produces 70 percent of Argentina’s wine harvest, and is famous for Malbec, its distinctive red grape varietal that thrives in the hot dry mountain sunshine.
Visit two wineries, where experts will explain the process of wine making from vine, to barrel, to bottle, followed by tasting. Destinations include alternatively the Bodegas La Rural, Lopez, Fabret Montmayou, Chandon, Norton, Lagarde, Viñas CERN Flichman, among others.

Breakfast. This tour is divided in three stages. The circuit offers natural landscapes that stand out from other routes. Through the south access we go the west to Potrerillos and Uspallata (Andean valley with beautiful tree groves and colored hillsides that give identity to the landscape).
We enter the Cordillera de los Andes. We will visit the historic bridge of Picheuta, Polvaredas, Paramillos, the National Gendarmerie, the ski resort Los Penitentes.
Then we continues to the Inca bridge with its hot springs (2720 mts. above sea level), Aconcagua’s Lookout. The Caves last town in Argentina and Gendarmerie. And finally we will visit the Christ Redeemer (4200 mts. High) expression of the peace by Argentine-Chilean border.
Back to Inca bridge to take a break for lunch, Then by the same road we return the starting point Via Potrerillo. Return to hotel. (B)
